Hello and welcome to my ePortfolio. My name is Evelyn Hayman and I am a writer/editor with experience in marketing located in the Newark, DE area. I am currently working as the marketing director at American Home Energy Corporation (AHEC) in Elkton, MD. AHEC, along with our partner company American Energy Corporation (AEC), provides residential and commercial energy audits to customers in the Maryland Pepco and Delmarva Power territories. As the marketing director, it is my responsibility to get the word out about our services. I actively manage all facets of our marketing including social media, print, online, mail, local events, and trade shows. In my first job after graduation, I served as a content marketing specialist at Blue Corona located in Gaithersburg, MD. Blue Corona is an Internet marking company specializing in SEO, PPC, website design, and more. To learn more about my position at Blue Corona, please look under the "Work Experience" tab.
I attended the University of Delaware, graduating in May of 2011. I earned honors bachelor of arts degrees in English as well as political science, with concentrations in professional writing and American politics, respectively. I was active in several clubs while at the University, including DEconstruction Magazine where I served as the co-editor-in-chief my senior year. I was also an intern for Eve Tahmincioglu, the head writer and founder of CareerDiva.net, a blog that focuses on job-related news. Currently, I run several blogs focusing on my different interests. My longest-running and most popular, the Awkward Words Blog, receives around 400 unique visitors each month.
